Current Status: Owner of Gaïa Nature, professional butterfly breeding facility.
Dave Clermont has been collecting and studying insects since he was 7 years old. A passion that took him far, now owner of a growing butterfly breeding business with a breeding farm of 98 acres located in eastern Canada. He is also founder of the Canadian Butterfly Breeders and Exhibitors Association (CBBEA). Dave became involved with El Bosque Nuevo as a technical advisor after meeting with John Fazzini in Niagara Falls International Butterfly Breeders Association (IBBA) meeting in 2002. With a background in horticulture and entomology, he was able to help the farm achieve a better look at the breeding dynamics and its troubleshooting.
